People are making cocktails out of pickle juice

How much do you love pickles? Did you chow down on a Chamoy one when they landed on TikTok, and jump on the Pickle In Blanket trend?

Well, then you’re going to want to check out the latest sensation hitting the internet – Pickle Juice Martinis (or pickletinis, as they’re also known).

Yep, the addiction is real, folks.

No longer satisfied with a pickles alone, people are now pouring the juices into their cocktail shakers…and the results sound pretty delicious, actually.

There are loads of variations of the Pickle Juice Martini over on TikTok, but this one from user @heartsandsharts is our favourite.

In the video, she can be seen mixing ice, two parts vodka and equal parts pickle brine from a jar, and then shaking together.

Literally, it couldn’t be simpler.

The TikTok creator branded the drink a “hangover cure” – and, honestly, we’d be inclined to agree.

“I drink vodka and pickle juice to cure a hangover but never mix them! God love TikTok!,” said one person.

Whilst another wrote: “Pickle juice goes so good with any liquer. Yasss.”

“I love everything about this #picklecrew,” chimed in somebody else.

“I just paused this and went and made one….,” said a fellow pickle lover. “SO GOOD.”

The above recipe is a really simple one, but there are a fair few tweaks you can make to jazz yours up a bit, too.

For one, a lot of people add Vermouth into the mix, too, in order to add an extra floral, spicy kick.

Meanwhile, others even pop a mini dill pickle into the glass in place of an olive. Yes, please…

callin all my pickle lovers out thereeee this one is for you! • ½-¾ oz pickle juice (depends how dirty you want it!) • ½ oz dry vermouth • 2½ oz gin or vodka • garnish: pickle add all ingredients into a mixing glass with a good amount of ice and stir until chilled. strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a pickle.

Pickletinis are technically nothing new, but they’ve had a resurgence on TikTok of late, and we’re certainly not mad at it.

If you are feeling really lazy you can also knock up a pickle vodka which makes the whole process even easier, once you have it to hand.

All you do to make your pickle voddy is pour vodka into a jar of pickles (with the brine removed) and let it soak for 24 hours.
