Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Are you one of those people who just can’t do shots? Well, you can now, buddy.

A brand called Fizzr is claiming it can make a shot of vodka taste “more tolerable”, which we’re sure you’ll agree is equal parts dangerous and exciting.

The idea is you pour the powder onto your tongue and it creates a foamy in your mouth.

Swish it around like mouthwash and then this is the point you down a shot.

Then, the brand claims that the Fizzr powder will prevent you tasting that nasty voddy.

You can buy a ten pack of the powder on Fizzr’s website for £3.95 (reduced from £4.95), which is pretty good value if it does the job it promises.

Founders Harry Otvos and Solomon Moryoussef came up with the idea on a night out… unsurprisingly, when they were doing shots.

“Picture the scene,” they write on their website. “The two of us are running late for a pub crawl in Leeds.

“Playing catch up, we reluctantly force down five shots each, wincing after each one and fighting hard to hold back a not-so-tactical chunder.

“Throats burning and feeling vehemently sick, we vowed to find a solution to the age-old problem of shotting spirits.”

How does Fizzr powder work?

The secret to Fizzr’s powder is one particular ingredient… Ginseng.

“Fizzr not only disguises the unpleasant taste of overpowering spirit shots gives you a (presumably) much needed energy boost,” they say.

That’s because Ginseng is a “unique natural energy source” which is meant to “increase energy and cognitive awareness.”

As a bonus, studies have shown Ginseng also reduces stress and is a natural aphrodisiac, apparently.

Just what ya need on a boozy night out, ey?

It’s not just Ginseng in the powder, obvs.

Fizzr’s founders also boast that it contains “healthy B vitamins” and caffeine. You can find all the specific ingredients here.

The powder is suitable for vegans and vegetarians, so nobody has to miss out on a pain-free shotting experience.

We should point out that we’re yet to try Fizzr ourselves so we can’t yet vouch for it, but watch this space and we will be doing so very soon.
