Someone on TikTok put pickles in their Dr Pepper and now everyone is doing it

We're all for weird and wonderful food combinations (it's kind of our forte).

But how do you feel about pickles in your Dr Pepper? It's certainly an eyebrow raiser.

According to one TikToker, it's actually a banging formula though – and she's convincing a lot of others to try it, too.

The TikToker, who goes by the name of @mississippimemaw on the app, said that if people liked pickles and Dr Pepper individually then she was confident they'd be a fan of her new invention.

“Do y’all like pickles? Do y’all like Dr Pepper? Well come on with Memaw, cause Memaw’s fitting to show you something,” she says.

The TikToker then takes camera on a trip to Sonic drive-through, where she places the order for the unusual pairing.

Surprisingly, the drive-thru operator seems quite unfazed by the whole encounter, but does explain that they'll have to charge extra for the customisation by marking the pickles down as cherries.

“Alright I done put my straw in my cup, but let’s see what it looks like,” she says, moving her cup so viewers can see the pickle slices floating in it.

“Don’t knock it till you try it. If you like pickles and you like Dr Pepper, and you’re probably like ‘Ew gross, I would never ever drink that,’ but there’s a lot of people that do drink this,” she says.

“Did you hear her, the way she took my order? I’m not the only person that’s ever ordered this, babe," she adds.

“It’s really good. Y’all should try it.”

As you can imagine, reaction to the video was a mixture of confused and enthralled.

One person wrote: "I like pickles and love Dr Pepper but not together!"

As another concurred: "Ok I don’t know about this one."

"I just tried it and I'm almost mad it's so good," a third chimed in.

"Dr Pepper is so strong & sweet, it could stand a Pickle twist! Guess I'm going to Sonic tomorrow!!," said someone else.
