Kim Kardashian sparks backlash after revealing she flew private jet to Paris for slice of cheesecake

It's hardly a newsflash that The Kardashians have bank accounts beyond most of our wildest dreams.

But nevertheless, Kim Kardashian's resurfaced confession about the reason behind a PJ trip to Paris has the internet talking...and not particularly favourably.

Yup, it should be no surprise that Kim and co take private jets whenever they're venturing abroad – be it for fashion week or a family holiday.

But The Kardashians star also decided to to jet all the way to the European City of Love.... because she fancied some cheesecake?

In a 2015 interview with Vogue US, Kim revealed the extravagant purchase.

She said it happened when she was pregnant with her first child, North West, and had a particular craving for cheesecake from Hotel Costes in Paris.

Kim explained that she didn't even 'like cheesecake' but that this particular one is 'heaven'.

Given that she lives in LA, such a journey for cheesecake would be a pipe dream for many... but not Kim.

"I flew in, maybe a couple months ago, just to have a last hurrah of all the food that I’m not going to be able to have for a while.

"And I get there, and they tell me they didn’t have it. And I was like, ‘You don’t understand! I leave tomorrow!’

"I think I flew for one night… And they said ‘Okay, we’re going to get it! And they got it and it really made my day’," she said.

Of course, as you can expect, the revelation prompted some *feelings* online.

"Kim Kardashian flew all the way from LA to Paris just because she wanted to eat a particular cheesecake and then flew back home….and here I am drinking from paper straws to save the world," said one person on Twitter.

Whilst another wrote: "Thinking of that time Kim Kardashian flew all the way from LA to Paris just because she wanted this one cheesecake from a specific hotel named Hotel Costes and then flew home."

"People like her could end homelessness, feed the poor, donate to help people in need who have nothing, but she chooses to go to Paris to eat cheesecake. this is absolutely insane," someone else chimed in.

"Remember when you are dealing with a soggy paper straw or scrambling to pick up and pack your groceries that they fly to Paris for cheesecake.

"Yes, 2015, but do you really think it has changed?" someone else raged.
