American unknowingly creates 'amazing secret menu item' after trying a 'Cheeky Nando's' for first time

An American ghost hunter has become an unlikely unofficial Nando's spokesperson after inventing his own “secret menu item”. 

During his ghost-hunting escapades across the UK, TikToker Kalani Smith unexpectedly found himself captivated by a true icon of British cuisine: the Cheeky Nando's.

His culinary journey may have begun as a quest to explore the spookiest locations in the UK, but he was soon captivated by the Nando's PERi-ometer and the mouthwatering menu.

After indulging in a number of beloved British delicacies - such as crumpets, Irn Bru, and Creme Eggs - Smith found himself going viral for his reaction to what Nando's had to offer. 

Opting for a unique approach - we’d expect nothing more from a ghost hunter - he diverted from the restaurant chain’s popular menu and instead crafted his own creation, aptly named 'The Kalani Sandwich'.

Comprising of a butterfly chicken breast, mac and cheese, halloumi, and fries - all doused in Nando's signature spicy sauce and sandwiched between two slices of garlic bread, it really is no surprise our mouths are watering just writing this. 

Upon sinking his teeth into the flavourful creation, Kalani's three-word verdict spoke volumes: "That is delicious” - before rating his creation a stellar 'nine five' out of 10.

TikTok users echoed his enthusiasm, with many expressing admiration for his DIY Nando's innovation.

“Wow! That looks amazing. I’m impressed by your sandwich skills,” one person commented. 

A second added: “That combo looks amazing. I think I need to try this mix!”

“That does look bomb! Next time I go I’m having the Kalani burger,” a third wrote. 

As users applauded Kalani's ingenuity, some couldn't resist teasing him about his newfound love for Nando's. 

"You've officially qualified as a Brit,” one person commented, with another playfully writing: "I think after this video you officially qualify for a British passport."

In honour of Kelani’s mouthwatering creation, we will definitely be ordering this beast the next time we're out for a cheeky Nando's.
