Nando's new menu launches today - and they're bringing back gravy

Listen up, Nando's lovers. If you thought the chain's chicken gravy was just for Christmas then think again!

Yup, the high-street chicken chain has only gone and relaunched its PERi-Chicken Gravy... in time for summer? Kinda rogue, but kinda genius?

You see, we're strong advocates of gravy all year round here at Twisted, and it seems we aren't the only ones.

As Nando's announced the return of its gravy on Instagram, the fanfare was palpable.

"The answer to my prayers," said one person in the comments.

While another wrote: "I'll be there later".

"No gravy in winter. Summer hits, gravy. Always keep them guessing Nando’s," joked a third.

As a fourth, rather eloquently, chimed in: "OMFGHEHDHSSSHSHSUSJDVSJKSKS." Our thoughts exactly.

The PERi-Chicken Gravy will cost £1.75, and will be available to drizzle across all your Nando's faves.

The fun doesn't stop at gravy, as the new Nando's menu also features a Fully Loaded Wrap (£9.75 on its own / £15.25 two regular sides) - the latest addition to the Fully Loaded family alongside Nando’s Fully Loaded Chips.

This bad boy is made with pulled chicken, fresh avocado, pink pickled onions, lettuce, a crunchy, garlicky PERi-PERi crumb, smoky PERi-Tamer sauce and creamy Caesar dressing. Ooooft, what a banger.

The Spicy Rice Bowl (£9.50) is another new addition, making the iconic side, Spicy Rice, into a filling main.

It's filled with long-stem broccoli, crunchy rainbow slaw, pickled cauliflower and humous, with PERi-PERi seeds on the side.

You can also add chicken or halloumi on top of your rice bowl.

And if you fancy something lighter? Try their new popular Mediterranean Salad (£8.75) – a seasonal fan favourite, which has been tweaked to make tastier than ever.

A brand new Caesar Salad (£8.75) is also landing on Nando's menus, alongside a new side – Portuguese Tomato Salad (£4.50), made with semi-dried, sweet baby and salad tomatoes with cucumber and pink pickled onions and South African dressing.

There's a new sauce on the PERi-ometer, too. Wild Herb, which is Nando’s most popular sauce at the Sauce Station is going to be available to add to your chicken at the counter for the first time.

You'll also be able to feast on an XL Wing Platter (£26.75) if you're arriving with a large party (or just hungry). This has 15 wings on it, and a choice of two large OR four regular sides.

Arguably second most exciting (after the gravy) is the arrival of the Bottomless Soft Swirl machine in Nando's stores across the country.

Customers will have access to unlimited vanilla ice cream made with Jersey cow’s milk in a waffle cone or tub (£3.25). What a dream.

The Nando’s summer menu launches today (Tuesday 14th May) at all restaurants across the UK & Ireland.
