McDonald’s fans beg for ‘best ever’ menu item to become permanent fixture

Impressed customers are begging McDonald’s to make what they're dubbing the "best ever" menu item permanent.
Yup, you might have seen that shoppers can now indulge in a Skittles McFlurry, and people are saying it's the Golden Arches' best drop in years.
The McFlurry features a soft vanilla ice cream base topped with chewy Skittles fudge pieces, sugary pearls, and a purple Skittles-flavoured sauce.
The restaurant has described the sweet treat as "chewy, refreshing, and undeniably sweet," and those who’ve tried it couldn’t agree more as they took to Twitter to rave about it.
Many users have penned that they want the dessert to be a main menu fixture, instead of just a limited-edition product.
"The new Skittles Mcflurry is so good I really hope it stays permanently," one user wrote.
A second user chimed in: "I just had a Skittles mcflurry and I fear no other type of mcflurry will ever live up to these standards."
"The new Skittles McFlurry. They need to add this to the actual menu," a third said, while a fourth added: "Skittles McFlurry, where have you been all my life? Holy f***, Game changer."
The new item also received love on Facebook after New Foods UK shared a post that read: "The McFlurry is incredible, one of our all-time faves for sure."
One user responded to the post with high praise, writing: "Skittles McFlurry is the best McFlurry I’ve had in my life."
Despite the public's pleas, the Skittles McFlurry will only be around for six weeks, so if you want to see if it lives up to the hype, you'll have to be fast!
The ice cream is part of the summer menu which includes a brand spanking new Hat Trick Burger, too. This comes with a three beef patty two slices of cheese, grilled onions, ketchup, and mustard, all encased in a sesame seed bun - a must-try for burger enthusiasts.
Other items on the menu are chicken sharing boxes, mozzarella bites, a Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, and a Galaxy chocolate and Raspberry Pie.
