McDonald's has officially announced its summer menu - and a brand new, very beefy burger is coming.

The burger, dubbed The Hat Trick, is making its debut on the Maccies menu to mark the arrival of a 'summer of sport,' and is "for when scoring once just isn't enough".

Costing £5.89, this is for those who have worked up an appetite (on or off the pitch), with not one but three "100 percent beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup, all in a glazed sesame seed bun."

With sporting szn in mind, the McDonald’s menu also features Shareboxes with extra dips.

The McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox (£10.59) comes filled with six Chicken Selects, twelve Chicken McNuggets, alongside two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips.

If you're more of a Selects lover, you can also tuck into a 9 Chicken Selects Sharebox (£8.49), which comes with three Selects dips.

And on that note, welcome some new Selects dips to the menu...you can now get your hands on Garlic Mayo and Sweet and Smoky BBQ dips as permanent fixtures alongside the already beloved Sweet Chilli.

There's lots of newness, but there's some old favourites returning, too, including a real fan favourite… Mozzarella Bites (£2.39).

With a "warm and gooey centre encased in a golden crispy coating", the bites come with an indulgent rich tomato dip.

And for dessert? The McFlurry just got a summer makeover, with a candied Skittles McFlurry (£2.19) hitting menus.

The McFlurry is made of "a soft dairy ice cream swirled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls, topped with purple Skittles-flavoured sauce."

It promises to be "chewy, refreshing and undeniably sweet." Sounds good to us!

If chocolate is more your thing, you can also opt for a Galaxy Caramel McFlurry (£2.19), "swirled with Galaxy Chocolate pieces and topped with Galaxy Caramel Chocolate sauce".

The final pud on the menu is another newbie – the Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie (£1.99).

This one's made with "crispy chocolate pastry filled with smooth chocolate ganache and a delightful raspberry compote." Dreamy.

The last addition to the menu is a must in the summer months...the Iced Latte (£2.49). This is back as a permanent addition, after please from customers.

What a menu, eh? Anyone fancy a trip to Maccies?
