A dessert festival is coming to London – and there’s a literal pool of sprinkles

Got a sweet tooth? Well, listen up.

What if we told you that you could bathe in a literal bath of sprinkles and tuck into a wall full of pick ‘n’ mix at London’s dessert festival?

London Dessert Festival last made its grand arrival in 2019, before taking a brief hiatus because of the pandemic.

But now its back and better than ever this August, taking over the Business Design Centre in Islington and promising a bunch of “immersive, sensory experiences” that are as delicious as they are fun.

There’ll be ten ‘zones’ to explore in total, including our personal faves, the pick n mix wall and a DIY ice cream decorating station.

In case you missed our earlier enthusing, there will also be a pool full of sprinkles and an umami bar, with tonnes of delicious bites to eat on offer.

Plus, there will be a ‘future dessert laboratory’ (think science and quirky dessert innovations).

We’re salivating even thinking about all of this…

Other activities on offer include a botanical garden and an afternoon tea zone, fitted with cosy blankets and rugs. Plus, there’s a cocktail lounge and a bao bun stall from Empire Of The Bun, offering up sweet and savoury bao.

Plus, VIP guests will be able to fork out for a ‘gin fountain’, and loads of complimentary desserts, served in an Art Deco lounge. So fancy.
