We thought we were happy with our jobs, but then we discovered that Aldi is looking for a crisp tester, and our whole world was thrown upside down.

Yep, you read that right. The budget supermarket wants to recruit someone to test their crisps.

Doesn't this sound like the role of a lifetime?

We probably don't need to tell you how epic Aldi's crisp range is – just look at their new Garlic Bread flavour!

We should probably clarify that this isn't a full time gig, but the good news is it's one we think any crisp lover could excel at whilst juggling their usual 9-5.

Essentially, Aldi sends the lucky tester a bunch of their crisp flavours and asks you to review them.

It really is that easy!

On the job app page, Aldi reps explain they need someone to "taste a selection of our current and brand-new crisp flavours for free," with the caveat that said individual "[tells] us what you think to help us decide on products in our range".

Apply to be an Aldi Crisp Taster

So, how do you apply?

All you need to do is send a short application video telling the folks at Aldi your name, age and where you’re from.

They also wanna know your current favourite Aldi crisp flavour.

Plus, you need to explain to them why you should be the Crisp Taster, and give them your social media handles are (if any).

The video doesn't need to be longer than a minute, and the only real stipulation is that you show enthusiasm for crisps (pffft, easy!).

To apply, send your vid to [email protected] with the subject line Aldi Crisp Taster. You can find full T&Cs here.

You have until 16th June to get your application in, and if you get the gig, you'll need to be able to try the crisps at home between 17th June and 1st July.

Obviously, Aldi is expecting quite a few applications for this, so if you don't hear back by 1st July, it means you haven't got the gig this time around – sob.

Either way, we see an Aldi crisps banquet in our futures.
