Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

If you’re looking for chicken recipes, then roll up, roll up.

Twisted‘s Creative Culinary Lead, Hugh, has knocked up a total of six meals to make out of one chicken, so you can get the absolute most out of a single bird.

Yup, the fact of the matter is we all have to think about shopping a bit more savvy these days, and the food we eat is a big part of that.

“It’s been a tough year for many financially, and lots of us are worried about the environment,” says Hugh.

“A great way of countering this is by being more efficient with food waste. Here are some ideas for six different meals you can make with one chicken, helping the planet and your wallet all at once.”

Whet your appetite with a peek at all Hugh’s chicken dishes below, and then keep scrolling for more details.

From chicken pasta to a banging buffalo chicken sandwich, these recipes will ensure that not a scrap goes unused.

Drumstick Butter Chicken

This is a classic butter chicken recipe, but it’ll become a mid-week staple.

The good thing about this recipe is it uses the cheaper and underrated drumstick rather than spenny chicken breasts, meaning you can save those for another recipe.

Made with hot Kashmiri chilli, earthy cardamom, warming smoked paprika and cumin and plenty of cream, this is a great big, fragrant hug in a bowl.

Bung it with some rice and you’re in business.

Chicken Soba Noodles

Chicken Soba Noodles are another great way to use up that bird.

In this recipe, you have to roast the chicken carcass to make a beautiful, flavourful broth. It’s amazing how many people often bin the carcass – it’s a the ticket to an instant umami hit.

Once you’ve got all the good stuff out of your carcass, you can pair the broth with noodles and all your favourite additions.

The beauty of this broth is that it can adapt to whatever you have in the fridge, whether that’s Pak Choi, Tenderstem broccoli or leafy Asian greens.

Tie everything together with some crispy chillis, if you’re after a spice kick.

Wild Garlic Chicken Schnitzel

Still got some wild garlic in your back yard? Well, you’re in luck.

For the next chicken recipe we’ve used the herb to put a spring twist on the Austrian classic, and trust us, it’s something special.

This recipe uses the chicken breast, and coats it in panko breadcrumbs, flour and eggs to create a deliciously crunchy exterior.

The wild garlic is mixed with butter, here, and adds a freshness to the whole dish. Plus, you can bung the leftovers on toast (or anything you want really).

Creamy Chicken Pasta

Another mid-week banger. This unreal chicken pasta recipe sees seasoned chicken thigh covered in a cream and parmesan sauce.

It’s indulgent, it’s comforting, it’s an instant mood lifter, and the best part is it’s ready in 30 minutes.

If you’ve got some chicken thighs lying around then make sure you’re saving them for this recipe.

Seriously, it’s a winner.

Chicken Tikka Sub Rolls

Spice up your lunchtime sarnie with some Tikka chicken breasts. This is a recipe we keep returning to again and again.

For best results, marinade your chicken breasts in tandoori masala for at least an hour, so all those glorious spices get as much of a look in as possible.

Then, grill your meat until charred and shove it in a brioche bun alongside cucumber raita, mango chutney, chopped onion and coriander.

Bosh. An absolute flavour sensation.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

This buffalo chicken burger recipe couldn’t be simpler to knock together, but it looks impressive AF.

Chicken thigh is fried in a deliciously spiced batter here, and pulled together with a sexy buffalo sauce and a blue cheese ranch.

Keep it simple and serve with pickles and lots of lettuce.

This is better than any burger you can buy out and about, and it uses up the chicken you have in the fridge.

Yes, please!
